Meet Olivia Pham, LMFT, PMH-C

Hey!

I’m Olivia. I’m a wife and mom. I’m chronically outside with my kid taking a walk or playing because that’s his happy place and I’m pretty darn proud of that. His obsession for outdoors has become a part of my daily routine that I can’t and don’t want to skip because of all the crunchy health benefits I get.

Trying a new restaurant or sticking to our comfort places is the constant discussion before date nights with my husband. I want to be adventurous, but I also know and crave what’s good at our spots. But I’m no party animal, so anywhere we go, I’ve got to be in bed by 9pm scrolling Pinterest for new house ideas or outfits to wear.

I provide individual therapy to new moms who are feeling overwhelmed in parenting, unhappy in their marriage, and struggling to relinquish control.

I’ve been a therapist for 4 years and worked in a different setting providing therapy to kids who’ve experienced trauma, and within that time, had my first child. I knew nothing about the emotional experience in the perinatal stage, so I switched gears professionally, got formally trained in perinatal mental health, and I’m here to help you through it.

My experience in motherhood has helped me see that being specialized in the struggles that we go through as parents can help women feel heard and understood for the first time in a long time. It’s not an easy chapter that we’re writing for ourselves or our kids.

You deserve to take that deep breath of relaxation and not feel an ounce of anxiety or dread as you sit on the couch and watch your kids play.

My Values

belonging

You belong here. You belong with your people. When we go through challenging times, we often feel alone. The journey to parenthood is no different. It is isolating and the dark feelings and thoughts are rarely discussed. There are so many women going through a similar experience.

This is why I started my practice and work with you. You shouldn’t feel alone and scared in your transition to motherhood. You deserve more! I want you to feel less alone in your struggles.

expressiveness

You need a space to come and not be judged. My favorite sessions are when we belly laugh, yell, and cry all in one hour. We talk about difficult and deep stuff. I want you to let those emotions out as they come so you can walk away from the computer feeling refreshed and ready to make those difficult changes. All the emotions you think you’re not supposed to feel are fully accepted here.

collaboration

I believe in collaboration at my core. I love it when my providers collaborate for my best care all around. I want to do the same for you. First, it’s important that you and I work as a team.

Yes, I have the degree and experience in this work, but you have the experience in your life. You know you better than I know you. If something doesn’t feel right or you know a suggestion won’t work, tell me! I’m all ears to how I can improve to give you the results you deserve.

It’s also important to me to get to know your care providers so we can work together as a team with you and for you. I love meeting the people you trust professionally and how we can help you in the best ways possible.

confidence

My goal for you is to end therapy feeling confident and comfortable in your life. You feel happy again, feeling more like yourself. You met your goals! You can handle difficult situations better than you could before. You’re able to enjoy life without pressure.

You are worth the investment of time and money.
